  Sector that enjoys active support from government and citizens of the special needs of the industry
  Profitable film studio and allied cutting-edge facilities that generate year-round work for all related sub-sectors and industries
  Robust and expanding indigenous film industry
  Large and constantly growing domestic audience
  Price and quality premier international location for foreign films

The Target
  7 000 income generating opportunities by 2015 to be facilitated and transformation in the industry to be pursued

Impact Film
Investment Recruitment Promote investment into locally produced films
Promote international co-production opportunities
Recruit investment into complementary film infrastructure
Increasing Employment Support Cape Film Commission
Marketing Promote Western Cape internationally as a location for film shoots & for pre- and post-production services
Support locally-based internationally-focused film events
Infrastructural Enhancement Facilitate investment in infrastructure such as the film studio
Strategic Competitiveness International benchmarking opportunities for sub-sectors
Supply of timeous information & research
Enterprise Development RED Door will inform entrepreneurs of demand-led business opportunities
Local Economic Development Support a film sector hub development
