This project was initiated during March and introduced, via the web and for the web, on 31 March 2006.

Targeting the tourism industry and more specifically the individual Tourist Guide’s biography and his or her introduction to possible clients. Finally, looking at the end result, not only clients but Tourist Guides from various countries should get to know their counterparts.

Note that due to lack of finances local tourist guides sometimes can’t even effort or maintain their own email address not to mention to cover the fee for promoting their products. The question comes up: How can somebody, so important to tourism but cut-off from the world of communication, generate clients?

The Tourist Guides have invested into their training or the training was organized and sponsored by the Tourist Guide Registration Office. How can South Africa afford loosing such valuable assets?

A fee per Tourist Guide of R50 per month (carried by the Government) could overcome most of these obstacles and put these valuable “assets” on the web!

Setting this project into motion would not only benefit the Tourist Guides getting the exposure they deserve, this transaction would open the door for 7-10 people gaining permanent employment (and training) from On Set Images.
