      Lesley Africa has been in organised business for the last 15 years where he amongst others served as the CEO of WECBOF (Western Cape Business Opportunities Forum), a black business membership-based organisation assisting its members in access to finance, access to training and access to opportunities as well as being the immediate-past Chairperson of both the Western Cape Provincial Tender Board as well as Business Western Cape, the umbrella body for organised business in the Western Cape consisting of the AHI, Cape Regional Chamber, Fabcos, Nafcoc, Sacci and Wecbof.

He is also the Local Representative for PUM; an organization based in The Netherlands who provides non-financial support to SMME's in 70 developing countries and held the position of Deputy Principal at Cedar High School in Mitchell's Plain, Cape Town at the time of leaving the teaching profession after 16 years with a Voluntary Severance package in July 1998. Lesley completed a BA degree, a B.Ed as well as a Higher Diploma in Education at the University of the Western Cape and obtained a Certificate in Labour Relations at Cape Peninsula University of Technology.

Lesley left the employment of WECBOF in April 2013 and is currently the CEO of UR Card and Director of Tashea 32 Pty Ltd, t/a UR Card. See www.urcard.co.za
