1939	Born in Augsburg, Germany

1957 – 1960	Apprenticeship as a lithographer in Augsburg

1959 – 1960	Student with Prof. Butz at the Art Academy in Augsburg

1961	1 st marriage – 2 daughters.

1961 – 1970	Worked as a lithographer in various parts of Germany and became a landscape painter and print maker, mainly in the medium of wood

	Exhibited in numerous exhibitions

	2 nd prize for print making from wood in Ulm in 1965

	1 st prize for print making from wood in Ulm in 1966

1970	Immigrated to Cape Town, South Africa

1972	Travels to India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran and Turkey

1974	2 nd marriage – 2 daughters

1974 – 1985	Cape Town
	• Worked as a lithographer and educator at Hirt and Carter • Teacher and organizer at the Community Art Project • Taught photographic image in print making at Michaelis School of Fine Art

1986 – 2004	Lives in Munich and Cape Town
	Exhibited and worked for Non Government Organizations Handicap International and Sans Papiers
