Marketing to be coordinated through Hout Bay MOB. Local and national advertising. Complete weekend package offered for couples and families of four or more. Accommodation & meals & entry to venues & transportation between venues.
Branding
Local businesses with possibility of outside branding, funding achieved to be utilized for event costs or worthy cause.

The Republic of Hout Bay Street Parade
Saturday 24 May 2008 from 10h00 till 12h00
The Street Parade will show-case Hout Bay in typical Hout Bay celebratory style.
Harley Davidson riders (Knights of the Republic), Drum-Majorettes from Imizamo Yethu, a Youth-Street-Band from Hangberg, Horse-Riders from the equestrian society in the Valley, Security Patrol Units display (Deep Blue Security Co ), Themed Floats by various restaurants and Acrobats from the Zip-Zap circus school, Champs of Champs winner 2008 Minstrel Carnival Troop, Hout Bay Scouts & Girl-Guides.
The Hout Bay Heritage Trust will also be firing the traditional Cannon at the end point of the street parade to mark the Republic`s coming of age.
The Street Parade route will be from Kronendal High School along Main Road to the Beach Front.
This promises to be fun for the whole family !!!

The Republic of Hout Bay's 21st
The Republic of Hout Bay celebrates its coming of age on the 23rd of May 2008.
Since the founding of the Republic in 1987, the popular Hout Bay passport has been in circulation and has travelled vastly throughout the world. Twenty-years on, in September 2007, the Hout Bay Consulate opened its doors at Pam Arlene Place on the Main Road in Hout Bay.
On May 23rd a dinner/dance event will be hosted by the Hout Bay MOB at the well known Suikerbossie restaurant to mark the coming of age of the Republic. Guests are to enjoy a three course meal and wine while being entertained by the famous music group `The Newz`and a raffle will decide if you are one of the lucky winners.The program will also include an auction of paintings by a world renowned artist as well as the Titles of the Republican Council eg Minister of Safety & Security. Proceeds will be in favour of the Hout Bay MOB to assist in upcoming events.
Various Consuls of the International Community have been invited to attend for inclusion at the “Table of Consuls” hosted by the Consul-General of the Republic of Hout Bay.
Join in and get to know the Hout Bay Mob (marketing our business). This is a way of meeting the Hout Bay business sector and the Mob is getting to know about you!
The evening promises to be a most memorable and enjoyable event.

Seafood Festival 9th - 12th AUGUST 2007
Recent years have shown a growth in the cultural life of the Cape’s southern peninsula, with focus on improved tourism and hospitality attractions, environmental awareness, beach activities and community spirit.
This festival is aimed to bring together all the local communities in celebration of Atlantic Seaboard coastal living, and to draw attention to the fabulous family entertainment opportunities in the area.
The Hout Bay Seafood Festival incorporating the Snoek Derby is ideally and centrally located in the picturesque harbour valley village of Hout Bay on the platinum mile Atlantic Coast.
It is a celebration of outdoor lifestyle, cultural diversity, family fun and environmentally friendly living – whilst embodying all the colourful character of the Cape fishing community.
