Ref.: Chapmans_7B02b2e There are numerous Southern Right Whales in Hout Bay's bay during breeding season, which is usually between September and December. They can easily be observed from Chapman's Peak drive without booking a ships tour disturbing these mammals in their habitat. The Southern Right whales visiting Hout Bay are sometimes so full of joy that they behave like Dolphins jumping out of the water taking all their bodyweight of up to 40 tons and above up in the air.
